www.afterellen.com/blog/sarahwarn/showtime-says-the-l-word-no-longer-about-lesbiansIf you guys want to know why gay men have more balls (and I mean that figuratively) This L word Emmy add should tell you why. For 5 years that Queer as Folk lasted on air, the gay men behind that show never apologised to anyone as to who the target audience was. But when it comes to lesbos, all of a sudden Showtime (and i'll partly blame chaiken) wants to appeal to straight people and to the Emmy's by using some dumb quote , which lets lesbians know they are finally considered people. I know that the meaning behind the quate is supposed to be the politicaly correct "we-are-all-human,we-are-not-that-different" gibberish, but it is also irritating to hear gay women complain about the lack of "visibility" and not have this ad bug them a bit. This afterellen post made a good point by noting that no other kind of show trys to get an Emmy nod this way. When have you seen a show about straight people or a different race promoted by saying "No longer a show about _____, its now a show about people." Will and Grace never did. p.s. I will now dust the sand off my vagina p.p.s. the whole quote from the chicago tribune says " no longer a show about lesbians, this series has evolved into a show about people, manny of whom happen to be lesbians, which is as it should be." I should have been more clear and said that my b*tch fest was aimed at Showtime for cutting the quote in order to appeal to the emmys, my bad

Oh mickey, mickey That is why I sometimes admire conservatives more than liberals; they dont go around trying to appease any one. p.s. Sand in the vagina is one of my favorite expressions, it can say sooo much about ones mood, and I got it from South Park .
